VisitEngland’s ‘MeetEngland’ will host a business events trade mission to Paris and Brussels from November 22-24 alongside five English cities, to meet and engage with international associations and event buyers in Europe.
The MeetEngland hosted mission brings together Meet Bristol & Bath, London Convention Bureau, VisitSussex, Marketing Manchester and Conference Leeds to meet new European organizers and deepen connections with existing contacts to drive business events bookings to England.
The three day mission includes two association events in Paris and Brussels, focused on the changing landscape of international congresses, the need for convention bureaus to extend their engagement to key regional stakeholders and how associations identify and grow wider legacy programs for their events. There will also be panel discussions led by the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) working in partnership with the MeetEngland team and a networking evening with leading French agencies.
VisitEngland head of business events, Paul Black, said, “We are delighted to engage with our European meeting and association clients and partners to promote the excellent product, infrastructure and sector expertise we have in England to attract business events. We also look forward to exploring the expanding role of convention bureaus in ensuring international events leave a legacy befitting local destinations. And we are very pleased to be partnering with ESAE to ensure content is tailored to meet the needs of our European clients.”
European Society of Association Executives President Mike Morrissey said, “Thank you to the VisitEngland team for including ESAE on its mission to Europe and meeting with some of our key audiences here in France and Belgium. Both events are set to make important and valuable connections, engagement and commentary which align perfectly with ESAE’s plans for this year and beyond.”
The mission is part of a busy period of activity for MeetEngland with the recent IMEX America, the upcoming IBTM World as well as a trade mission to North American in early 2023.
