CordeValle has unveiled a multimillion-dollar, property-wide renovation project. The 1,700-acre luxury resort, formerly known as Rosewood CordeValle, is located about an hour outside of San Francisco and a half hour from Silicon Valley; the revamped retreat offers 45 guestrooms and suites, an updated culinary program, an enhanced golf course, new pickleball and tennis courts, a spa and meeting spaces.
Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, CordeValle’s fairway rooms, villa suites and fairway homes can accommodate anywhere from two to eight guests. Renovations of the fairway homes will be completed in 2023. CordeValle’s guestrooms have fireplaces, spa-inspired bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate showers, private outdoor space and locally inspired amenities.
The new executive chef, Abraham Torre, oversees the property’s three culinary concepts. The resort’s signature restaurant Il Vigneto serves fresh California takes on Italian favorites, besides a wine list (set to reopen summer 2023). One Iron Bar showcases Northern California-inspired cuisine alongside an extensive bar program. Lion’s Peak Grill offers outdoor seating and American favorites. Chef Torre will also launch a series of interactive classes. Guests can join him at the outdoor pizza oven for a traditional pizza-making experience or a wine-tasting experience. The culinary team at CordeValle also offers themed wine dinners. More culinary activities will be unveiled throughout the year.
The CordeValle Golf Course was designed by golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 7,360-yard, 18-hole, par 72 championship course recently underwent a full remodel including fully releveled driving range and tee complexes, a higher-quality turf, completely resurfaced complexes across all 18 greens and sculpted contours that acknowledge the course’s surroundings. The course also features a three-hole loop of par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes ideal for novices or juniors.
CordeValle has four newly resurfaced Plexicushion tournament tennis courts complete with equipment. CordeValle’s ATP tennis pro offers private lessons for players of all levels. The property has also unveiled two pickleball courts and a new bocce garden, complete with two oyster shell courts and views of the valley. Other facilities include a spa, fitness center, an outdoor pool.
The resort is located amongst the Santa Clara wine region and has 85 acres of vineyards on-site. Santa Clara Valley offers tastings, tours and events including concerts and educational classes. Personalized wine-tasting tours are also available.
In addition, CordeValle offers over 5,200 square feet of meeting space across nine event venues. Fully customizable with indoor and outdoor options, the spaces have a capacity of five to 200 people. The events team offers meeting experiences with tailored service, personalized F&B options, and custom itineraries.
