Hyatt Regency Chicago has completed its $150 million renovation. The project included each of its 2,032 guestrooms and suites, along with the Regency and Crystal Ballrooms.
The refreshed guestrooms now sport an open design, contemporary furniture and plush comforts, while the Regency and Crystal Ballrooms received modern finishes and a neutral color palette. The meeting and event space renovation includes new lighting, fresh flooring, wall coverings, bathrooms, furniture and artwork in pre-function spaces. Planned renovations to the Grand Ballroom, in addition to several smaller event spaces, are slated for completion in 2025.
To celebrate the renovation and the hotel’s 50th anniversary, Hyatt Regency Chicago is rolling out new guest experiences, including:
- Gold Fashioned cocktail: The Old Fashioned has a deep-rooted history in Chicago, so as a nod to the city’s culture, the property has created a Gold Fashioned cocktail, which will feature a 24-carat edible gold flake garnish. It will be available until September 30, 2024 at BIG Bar, Stetsons Modern Steak + Sushi, and American Craft Bar
- 50th Anniversary Golden Lager, brewed by Revolution Brewing: The hotel team has partnered with Illinois’ Revolution Brewing for a special label dubbed the 50th Anniversary Golden Lager. This on-draft beer will be available until September 15 at BIG Bar.
- New Greetings Tour mural: Hyatt Regency Chicago has teamed up with The Greetings Tour—a nationwide mural project that brings interactive and timeless landmarks to life through public art—to create a mural that weaves together the local culture, history and landmarks of Chicago. The mural will be located on the corner of East Wacker Drive and Stetson Ave and will debut on June 6, 2024.
- Anniversary Room Package: It includes a stay in one of the newly renovated suites; $100 dining credit; two signature Gold Fashioned cocktails in BIG Bar; and two tickets to Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise aboard Chicago’s First Lady.
