The Pittsburgh Airport Marriott hotel has unveiled the final phase of its $18 million, four-year renovation. The 317-room hotel is located six miles from Pittsburgh International Airport.
The first phase of the top-to-bottom renovation was completed in July 2021 and the final phase debuted in June 2024. Guestrooms were renewed in the first phase, totaling 301 guestrooms and 16 suites, including two Presidential Suites. Ranging from 200 to 750 square feet, the accommodations offer a spacious desk, 55-inch television, Wi-Fi, minifridge, coffee/tea maker and more.
Public spaces such as the Greatroom lobby area, event spaces, fitness center, restaurant, restrooms and the signature Marriott M Club debuted in June 2024. One of the highlights of the hotel is the outdoor patio and Courtyard, offering outdoor dining and seating, a koi pond, waterfall, fireplace and games. Separately, the refreshed Runner Stone Mill House Restaurant offers a casual bar and restaurant option on the ground level, as well as room service. Along with the outdoor patio, the restaurant is a respite for travelers with Margarita Mondays, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Tuesdays with entertainment and more.
The remodeled 1,400-square-foot fitness center offers guests complimentary 24/7 access to new equipment. Adjacent to the fitness center is the heated indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Meeting spaces include 12,500 square feet of function space, among 18 meeting rooms. This includes the Grand Ballroom, which accommodates up to 650 guests, three Boardrooms, a new Oakdale meeting room and flexible meeting spaces for customized events. Audio-visual equipment, event supplies, custom catering and the Marriott Meeting Services app are just some of the meeting services provided by the team.
The Courtyard hosts more than 50 wedding ceremonies and cocktail receptions each year, in addition to weekly social events, happy hours and private functions. The outdoor patio is a favorite for post-ceremony celebrations. Additionally, Marriott Certified Wedding Planners offer an array of wedding services from planning to execution.
The hotel is located close to sports and entertainment events at Robert Morris University, AHN Sports Junction, Starlake Pavilion, Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park. Downtown Pittsburgh attractions are located 25 minutes to the east. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service to the nearby Pittsburgh International Airport.
