Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, has announced renovations led by St. Louis-based hotel operator Genuine Hospitality, LLC. Situated in the Grand Strand district, the beachfront resort sits on nearly 16 acres, with direct access to Myrtle Beach’s 60 miles of Atlantic shoreline.
From 359 guestrooms to 63 suites, some including kitchen facilities, the resort can accommodate couples, families, golf groups, and more. In addition to endless beachfront fun, amenities include five outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and Wahoo Water Park with a lazy river and three-story-high slide. Onsite, guests can try tasty treats at Rita’s Ice, and access a selection of “grab & go” items from the resort’s onsite market.
As Genuine Hospitality steps in to manage the resort, the company has tapped executive hospitality veteran David Rijos as task force manger to handle day-to-day operations. Rijos has served as general manager at several hotels. Most recently, he held the role at Heritage Hotel Golf, Spa and Conference Center, CT, and the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel Nashville.
The Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort is the first resort and 19th property in Genuine Hospitality’s portfolio, with a 20th property being added this summer. Nearby attractions and diversions include horseback riding, helicopter rides, the Skywheel, dolphin tours, fishing excursions, and more. The resort is just two miles from Myrtle Beach International Airport.
