The Shelburne Sonesta New York Debuts Rooftop Venue

The Shelburne Sonesta New York has announced the opening of its new year-round rooftop concept, Vintage Green, in collaboration with IGC Hospitality.

Located on the 16th floor of the hotel, the 11,000-square-foot space pays homage to the parks scattered throughout the city by combining New York City design elements with a garden atmosphere that offers city skyline views from a wrap-around terrace. The opening comes on the heels of the hotel’s recently debuted restaurant Take Care, also envisioned by IGC Hospitality.

Several seating areas make up the indoor-outdoor dining, cocktail and performance space, making it ideal for year-round enjoyment. The menu offers a range of New York City-centric delights and small plates complemented by craft cocktails, fruity summer sips and low-ABV options.

To bring the park experience to life, live, immersive art and augmented reality entertainment curated by Sylvana Levy of SLX Global, will take place throughout the summer. Guests can expect to see acts that they would typically see while strolling through a park, such as jugglers, musicians, skateboarders, magicians, breakdancers and more.

Situated on Lexington Avenue just steps from Grand Central Station, The Shelburne Sonesta New York offers 325 rooms and suites, including studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, outfitted with kitchenettes and terraces overlooking the Empire State Building. The hotel is designed to assist guests to make the most of their stay in Manhattan with exclusive packages, complimentary amenities and more.
