Fontainebleau Las Vegas has welcomed its newly appointed sales leadership team ahead of its opening in the fourth quarter of 2023. Upon opening, Fontainebleau Las Vegas will offer 3,644 rooms and suites, as well as 550,000 square feet of customizable, indoor-outdoor meeting space.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas sales team includes:
- Kurt Wuebbenhorst, senior vice president of sales, catering, and convention services
- Carmen M. Rubino Jr., vice president of sales
- Erin Naeve, vice president of distribution and social sales
- Nicole Schmitz, director of sales
Wuebbenhorst previously opened a luxury resort on the Strip as a member of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas sales team. As the property’s vice president of sales, he was credited with driving more than $100 million in top line revenues annually, while executing more than 200 meetings and events annually for The Cosmopolitan. He has also served in sales leadership roles for Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
Rubino Jr., rejoins Fontainebleau Las Vegas as vice president of sales, having previously served three years as executive director of hotel sales when the resort was in development under a different owner. Rubino has a decades-long history with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, having twice held the role of senior director of sales and marketing at The Cosmopolitan, and he has previously served as director of sales and marketing for Marriott International Convention and Resort Hotel Network; vice president of hotel operations and director of sales and marketing for JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa; and director of hotel sales and director of national accounts for Marriott International.
Naeve brings more than 20 years of sales experience in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industries to her role as vice president of distribution and social sales. Prior to joining the Fontainebleau Las Vegas team, she served as executive director of leisure sales for Resorts World Las Vegas; executive director of group sales and executive director of leisure sales for The Cosmopolitan where she opened the luxury resort in 2010. Naeve has also held sales and distribution roles at Travelzoo, Harrah’s Entertainment, and The Venetian.
Schmitz was senior sales manager before being elevated to director of sales just 10 months later. She was previously a member of the pre-opening team at Resorts World Las Vegas where she served as national sales manager. Schmitz’s hospitality career spans over a decade and includes senior sales roles with The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Waldorf Astoria.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas sales team is supported by Fontainebleau Development Vice President of Industry Relations and Business Development Austin Bagwell, who spearheads the sales efforts, brand awareness and synergy for group convention customers across the company’s luxury destination portfolio, including Fontainebleau Miami Beach, JW Marriott Turnberry Miami and Hilton Nashville.
Spread across nearly 25 acres, Fontainebleau Las Vegas sits adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center District.
