Miraval Bershires has appointed Ashley Stokes as the director of group sales and events. In her new role, Stokes will help lead the team to achieve group sales goals and develop prospecting campaigns while delivering service to guests through group retreats and events.
“With leadership retreats ramping up, it’s an exciting time to join the group sales and events team to ensure guests receive a transformative experience tailored to their needs,” said Stokes.
A native of Newport, Rhode Island, Stokes began her career in operations at a hotel in her hometown. Later, she served as manager in the front office and housekeeping operations in several hotels in the Washington, D.C. area while attending George Washington University. After graduating, Stokes spent over ten years in various sales roles in New York City, including serving as associate director of sales at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, focusing on the sports and entertainment industries. Most recently, she served as the director of sales and marketing for the Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina.
The Miraval brand is known for wellness resorts and spas. Miraval Arizona in Tucson pioneered the destination wellness spa resort category over 25 years ago and joined the Hyatt portfolio in 2017. In February 2019 the brand launched Miraval Austin in Texas. Miraval Berkshires, located in Lenox, Massachusetts, opened as the brand’s first East Coast destination in July 2020.
