Nemacolin, a luxury destination resort in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania, has appointed event designer Ed Libby as creative director. In this new role, Libby will transform Nemacolin’s interiors and grounds with floral displays and art pieces. He will also lend his expertise to assist with the redesigning of resort spaces and focus on enhancing guest experiences.
“Ed Libby is an artist who can transform an ordinary space into the most magical of experiences,” said owner and CEO Maggie Hardy. “His eye for detail and his whimsical sensibility make him the perfect addition to our team, and we look forward to seeing the creativity and vision he brings to life here at Nemacolin.”
Libby began his career at a young age, designing flower arrangements at home. Upon receiving immediate acclaim for his original floral creations, Libby soon opened Ed Libby & Company Events, which is touted as becoming the first global design studio to blend art with live entertainers. Today, Libby’s artistic abilities are behind some of the most high-profile weddings, events and installations throughout the world, including the Bellagio Las Vegas, where he oversees the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens’ seasonal floral experiences.
Nemacolin looks forward to continuing the resort’s whimsy and fun with Libby at the helm of the property’s artistic installations and creative event direction.
