Signia by Hilton San Jose, a revamped 541-room property set within Silicon Valley, has announced the appointment of three professionals to its leadership team. Joining the hotel are General Manager Mark Ive, Director of Sales and Marketing Joe Alegre and Director of Marketing Diana Haven.
Ive is an industry veteran with more than 35 years of leadership experience and joins the property as general manager. With former roles including hotel manager of the Hilton Toronto, general manager of the Renaissance Toronto and, most recently, general manager of Hilton Oakland Airport. The hotel is banking on his background in operations to help drive efficiency across departments, and his diverse experience will continue to focus on guest programming, satisfaction and creating an overall elevated experience.
Alegre brings an extensive sales background and expertise across the West Coast region with more than 30 years’ experience to the new role as director of sales and marketing. Formerly with a variety of brands including Hyatt, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, Autograph Collection and several independent hospitality groups, Alegre’s progressive and creative approach, coupled with a deep understanding of marketing dynamics, is expected to reinforce Signia by Hilton San Jose’s client relationships and accelerate revenue generation.
Haven has been introduced as the property’s new director of marketing. Founder of Ellipses Public Relations and the former director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, Haven brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, event production and broadcast media. She has a strong track record for developing and executing successful marketing as well as public relations strategies for destinations, restaurant groups and hotels.
